Christmas News Letter 2014

First of all. I love people having themes on these things, but frankly my dear... I stink at creative writing like that.
So here it goes.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

The beginning of this year kicked off with Westen still working for himself and we were able to go up to Washington to see my sisters and a few friends up there.

Zylah and Hadessa making pancakes at Tana's house. Zylah is quite the little chef!

We had a very brief but touching time with our baby Phoenix who passed March 27th, 12 weeks after conception. We are not sure whether Phoenix was a girl or boy but Zylah calls him her brother and has drawn a few beautiful pictures of our family including him.

April Westen went to Wyoming to start a project up there with U.S. customs living there most of the week in our camper until it got too cold in October. He has started jobs here in Utah and we are thankful for having him back. He has been working on the house on the little time he has off and we are all getting excited to have our 2 spare rooms complete shortly.

Hadessa fearless daddy's helper
After the loss of Grandpa Glenn this summer I decided it was time to go back to school. With only days until school started I somehow got myself signed up for school and classes. With a transfer and major change I am basically starting all over again in school but I am excited for the opportunity to become an environmental scientist!
Loving sisters
Zylah,5, is going to preschool for the 3rd year in a row. She is so excited to finally be in kindergarten this next year! This sassy girl is very loving to her sister and very helpful to her mommy. She has been found in the kitchen putting away the dishes and scrubbing and loading others into the dishwasher. This summer she was in dance and got to be in 2 parades. She is a fantastic singer, dancer and performer. Zylah has a love for science like her mommy and is hoping for a telescope for Chritmas.

Hadessa, 1, is working on her words but she has other ways of communicating, such as pointing and saying "its". She loves to sing "let it go" with so much passion and expression. She is a wild child with a heart of gold. and she loves her "choo-choos". She loves to take things apart and try to put them back together like her daddy and is hoping for some "choo-choos" for Christmas.
Both of these girls adore their dad to pieces and give him lots of love when they see him. There isn't anything cuter then watching these girls run into his arms shouting with smiles on their faces when he gets home.

We have 8 other additions to our family 2 did not make it, but they are very loved in our family. We got chicks this summer as pets.

Zylah loves her new pets this is the beloved "Hawk" our rooster
our girls and boy
This year has been a very busy year for us, but we have learned how important family is and are very grateful that we were sealed together. We are blessed to have such amazing family and friends to surround ourselves with.

Merry Christmas
Happy Holidays to you all
